But, the superstar isn’t taking songwriting credit for the hit but rather claims to have channeled Alexander McQueen from “beyond the grave.” The fashion world lost the gifted designer when he tragically committed suicide on Feb. 11 2010.
Gaga tells Harper's Bazaar that McQueen "planned the whole thing: Right after he died, I wrote 'Born This Way.' I think he's up in heaven with fashion strings in his hands, marionetting away, planning this whole thing.”
Even more bizarre, the singer swears the protrusions on her face and shoulders are not prosthetics, nor the result of surgery.
"I have never had plastic surgery," says Gaga. She explains that the sharp bulges are "not prosthetics, they're my bones. I have been waiting for the right time to reveal to the universe who I truly am."
