Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie Have a Fashion Emergency

Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson's daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice brought a little something blue to the royal wedding -- their sad, sad hats.

The Philip Treacy designs seemed over the top and out of place, especially when matched with rather matronly dresses. Princess Beatrice wore a Valentino design while Princess Eugenie wore Vivienne Westwood. The dresses may have looked more fashionable on the Queen but the Lady Gaga-inspired headgear completely missed the mark.

Love It or Hate It: Ashley Olsen Has Us Seeing Red

Never afraid to experiment when it comes to style, or sometimes dressing with a lack thereof, Ashley Olsen was spotted in New York City sporting a pant suit that would make Debbie Gibson proud.

What do you think of Ashley's bold look? Love it or hate it?

Riccardo Tisci Tapped for Dior?

Following John Galliano's firing from Christian Dior in March, fashionistas are holding on to their ball gowns wondering who will replace the fallen designer.

While a number of names have been tossed around, including Hedi Slimane, Alexander Wang, Stefano Pilati, Nina Ricci and Peter Cropping, Dior's chairman and chief executive Sidney Toledano tells Reuters Galliano's successor won't be announced until fall.

However, several reports claim Galliano's replacement has already been determined, with the honors going to Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci.

Who would you like to see replace Galliano?

Angelina Jolie Becomes New Face of Louis Vuitton

Angelina Jolie has been tapped as the new face of luxury brand Louis Vuitton.

The superstar has long been spotted toting the designer bags so it's only fitting Jolie follows in the footsteps of such stars as Madonna, Jennifer Lopez and Keith Richards for Vuitton's next campaign.

According to E! News, the deal will earn Jolie a whopping $10 million. The actress' endorsement deal with fashion house St. John ended just last year.

The print ads will run in summer and be shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz.

Do you think Jolie is the best choice for the campaign?

Dumpster Chic? Trash Hits the Runway

Let's get trashy! The annual Trash Fashion Show took place over the weekend at Seattle's Western Washington University, showcasing the very best in "dumpster apparel."

The annual event, put on by the RE Store, features pieces constructed by both amateur and seasoned designers that are made entirely from items found in garbage cans and waste dumps.

"It's a combination of amazement and inspiration and laughter, because some of it is just downright wacky or absurd," said RE Store education and marketing coordinator Jason Darling.

The aim is to encourage individuals to recycle and not be wasteful.

"I hope they'll take home some of their trash and turn it into beautiful or useful things and just think differently about what we're doing with the old concept of throw things away," Darling continued. "There really is no away."

About a dozen designers participated in the fashion show, with highlights including a bubble-wrap dress and a gown composed of cat treats. Garbage never looked so good.

Royal Wedding Fever

By now, you're either scratching the dates off your calendar until Prince William and Kate Middleton tie the royal knot, or your scratching your head wondering who bloody cares!

Either way, fashion lovers are eager to know what the "Princess in Waiting" will be wearing on the special day.

Several names, including Alexander McQueen's Sarah Burton, Bruce Oldfield, Alice Temperley and Amanda Wakeley, have been tossed around, while Britain's Daily Mail claims Middleton is actually designing the dress herself.

"As soon as her engagement was announced she took it upon herself to start creating her dream frock before she went to an established dressmaker to put her ideas into practice," the paper reports.

According to the Huffington Post, however, it's Libélula's Sophie Cranston, who made the final cut, though, St. James Palace won't confirm the news. Sigh.

As Royal Wedding Fever continues, have a look at past wedding gowns fitting a pretty Princess.

The fashionable Crown Princess of Denmark, Mary Elizabeth wore a dress
designed by Danish designer Uffe Frank.

Princess Letizia of Spain wore a gown made by Manuel Pertegaz.
Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden in a wedding dress by Swedish designer Par Engsheden.

The absolutely stunning Princess Grace was dressed in a gown by Academy Award-winning
MGM wardrobe designer Helen Rose.

Prince William's beautiful mum Diana, Princess of Wales wore a gown
created by designers David and Elizabeth Emmanuel.

Listen: Fashion Icon Lady Gaga Borrows Madonna's Unsaintly Style

We absolutely love Lady Gaga and certainly admire her fearlessness when it comes to style and those sky-high heels.

That said, in a predictable move, the pop superstar has again copied Madonna's use of religious themes and imagery for new single, "Judas."

"Like a Prayer" anyone?

Gaga dropped the track four days ahead of its official release date after a clip leaked online. "Judas," of course, has the web and Catholic church abuzz, with some calling the song sacrilegious.

"This is a stunt... Lady Gaga tries to continue to shock Catholics and Christians in general: she dresses as a nun... she swallows the rosary. She has now morphed into a caricature of herself," said Catholic League President Bill Donohue in a statement.

While "Judas" is a surefire hit, we hope the fashion icon travels down her own path. Crosses, rosaries, nuns...Madonna's been there and done that. What do you think?

"Judas" is currently available on iTunes. Click here to purchase your copy.

Nicole Richie Reveals Her Weakness for Sunnies

In a new interview with "Teen Vogue," one of our very favorite fashionistas, House of Harlow and Winter Kate designer Nicole Richie reveals her weakness for sunglasses.

Nicole confesses to owning over 200 pairs, explaining, "I view them as fun masks to accessorize your face."

"But in my defense," she continues, "I make sunglasses, so I have to research-shop, and I own every pair I've ever designed."

While Nicole often opts for jeans and a tee, or a loose printed dress, she likes to "change the look with accessories."

We, too, are sunglasses-obsessed and think a girl can never have own enough.

Here are a few of our favorite pairs in her vast collection:

Looking lovely in Chanel. Who doesn't!

Watch: Burberry Gets 3D on the Runway

Holograms were all the rage at Burberry's runway show Wednesday (April 13) at the opening of the British fashion house's Beijing flagship store. In addition to live models, holograms strutted their stuff on the catwalk and band Keane played a live set during the high-tech event. We wonder if Tyra will borrow the idea for this season's "America's Next Top Model."

John Galliano Booted from His Own Label

Hot off his firing from Dior, Women's Wear Daily reports British designer John Galliano has been sacked from his own label.

No surprise there as the John Galliano fashion house is 92% owned by Dior.

While a spokesperson for the brand wouldn't deny or confirm the news, he responded, "Do you think a newspaper as serious as WWD wouldn't check its facts before publishing them?"

No word on who will replace the fallen designer.

Dress Up Like Dita

Or, undress rather.

Fittingly, burlesque star Dita Von Teese is launching her own lingerie line.

Women’s Wear Daily reports that Dita has partnered  with Lime Door Brands to create bras and underwear in sizes ranging from XS to plus size.

The petite Von Teese took to Twitter to reveal the news, “Just signed a new lingerie deal!!! Glam underpinnings in XS to plus-size! Launching in Australia, then going global shortly after. Excited!”

Hopefully, the brand will make its way to the States after launching down under.

RIP Erica Kane

Susan Lucci's Erica Kane always reached stylish heights.

It's a sad, sad day in soap opera land! :(

Rumors had been swirling that the ABC network would be canceling two of its long-lived programs -- the beloved "All My Children" and "One Life to Live" -- and now Deadline.com is confirming the news.

For those of us who grew up watching the series, one of the best parts of our afternoon viewing was watching the devious Erica Kane land into trouble, and most importantly, what she was wearing!

In tribute to the soaps we lost, we've compiled a few of our favorite Erica Kane outfits.

Ms. Kane tries on a turban.
Erica models at the Met.
Erica draped in a white Grecian wrap dress.

When in doubt, throw on a beaded headdress.
Remember when our daytime vixen owned her own disco club?

Don't Step on His Red Louboutins!

Shoe designer extraordinaire Christian Louboutin is reportedly suing fashion house Yves Saint Laurent, claiming copyright infringement.

Louboutin's perfect pumps are noted for their red soles but YSL has created four distinct styles of shoes ("
Tribute," "Tribtoo," "Palais," and "Woodstock") designed with...red soles! Sacré bleu!

The collection is being sold at all the major high-end department stores, including
Saks, Barneys, Nordstroms, Neimans and Berdorfs.

According to the suit, the "Defendant's use of red footwear outsoles that are virtually identical to plaintiff's Red Sole Mark is likely to cause and is causing confusion, mistake and deception among the relevant purchasing public as to the origin of the infringing footwear.”

Christian, who registered the red outer sole with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in 1997, is seeking over one million dollars in damages.
That's a whole lotta shoes.

Going Gaga: The Lady Channels McQueen

Lady Gaga has had her little monsters going wild since the release of latest single, "Born This Way."

But, the superstar isn’t taking songwriting credit for the hit but rather claims to have channeled
Alexander McQueen from “beyond the grave.” The fashion world lost the gifted designer when he tragically committed suicide on Feb. 11 2010.

Gaga tells
Harper's Bazaar that McQueen "planned the whole thing: Right after he died, I wrote 'Born This Way.' I think he's up in heaven with fashion strings in his hands, marionetting away, planning this whole thing.”

Even more bizarre, the singer swears the protrusions on her face and shoulders are not prosthetics, nor the result of surgery.

"I have never had plastic surgery," says Gaga. She explains that the sharp bulges are "not prosthetics, they're my bones. I have been waiting for the right time to reveal to the universe who I truly am."

Consider yourself revealed.

Well, it’s certainly an edgy look and is sure to make this year’s Gaga Halloween costume extra special.

Clutches, Satchels, Sling Bags, Oh My!

Let’s face it: a girl can never have enough handbags. Clutches, cross-body bags, satchels, totes and slings, we want them all!

And we want them with fancy tags like Chanel, Prada, Gucci and Louis Vuitton.

But, given the current economic climate and with the taxman knocking on our door this month, it’s just not practical to collect each and every one in a designer model. Sure, they last a lifetime but spending an equivalent to several months’ rent doesn’t seem very reasonable right now.

Fortunately, we can simultaneously save without sacrificing style thanks brand called olivia + joy, a division of Accessory Exchange.

As the brand’s website proclaims, olivia + joy was created to offer shoppers affordable bags and deliver “the right trend at the right time.“

Available online at www.oliviaandjoy.com and in Macy’s department stores nationwide, there’s a great bag for every budget, with most products priced under $100.

And there’s a great bag for every outfit, with popular models coming in black, white and a palette of pastels. Designs include fringe, studs, chains, and ruffles, allowing trendsetters to indulge in the hottest styles, and more importantly, shop guilt-free.
